Josep Puig i Cadafalch designed Casa de les Punxes in 1905, and its pointed towers still stand out along Avinguda Diagonal. Today three floors of the building house a coworking space and private offices, with meeting rooms set inside the towers themselves. Green columns and plants fill the coworking floor, and arched windows let in proper daylight. The lounge has real armchairs rather than a sofa squeezed into a corner. Coffee is included, and the rooftop, with its parasols, looks out over the neighbourhood’s roofs.

A hot desk costs €420/month and private offices start at €550 per desk. That’s above the Eixample average, and a visit explains why. Verdaguer metro (L4, L5) is right outside, with Diagonal station (L3, L5) under ten minutes away, and buses 6 and 33 stop at the corner of Carrer del Bruc, with the 47 a block further at Bruc and Provença. For a client lunch, Bar Mut on Carrer de Pau Claris serves seafood-led sharing plates five minutes away. Mercat de la Concepció, at a similar distance, is handy for picking up groceries on the way home.

Casa Comalat, at Avinguda Diagonal 442, is two minutes away and probably the best match for what you're after: a fairly understated modernist facade hiding a genuinely wild interior, carved wood, ceramics, organic shapes throughout. Nowhere near as well known as Casa Batlló or La Pedrera, which is exactly the point.
